Community Programs for Men Ready to Break Harmful Cycles
StrongMind delivers practical community-based programs for men navigating addiction, alcohol and drug use, gambling, anger, trauma, disconnection and behaviour change.
Built around honest conversations, accountability and grounded support, our 6 and 12 month programs help communities create safer spaces for men to understand their patterns, rebuild connection and move toward lasting change.
Community Organisation Consultation
StrongMind partners with community organisations to strengthen their impact in addiction recovery, behaviour change, and men’s emotional wellbeing. Whether you're building a new initiative or refining an existing service, our team brings hands‑on expertise in trauma‑informed design, facilitator development, and emotionally paced delivery.
StrongMind also offers Community AOD & Suicide Prevention Forums — dynamic 2–3 hour gatherings that bring locals, services, and frontline workers together for honest, stigma‑free conversations around addiction, emotional distress, and suicide prevention. These forums blend lived experience, professional insight, and practical tools to spark connection, awareness, and community‑led action.
Every consultation is collaborative, adaptable, and grounded in StrongMind’s core principles: emotional safety, clarity, and relevance. Whether you're a local service, health provider, or frontline team, we meet you where you are — and help you build what works.

Community Programs
StrongMind’s 6 and 12 Month Community Programs bring long-term behaviour change, emotional regulation and leadership development directly into local communities.
Designed for men navigating addiction, anger, trauma, disconnection and harmful patterns, these programs provide consistent, grounded support without requiring men to leave their families, responsibilities or community.
Programs are fully adaptable and can be delivered weekly, fortnightly, monthly or through intensive blocks, depending on community needs, location and budget. Each pathway combines group workshops, one-to-one support, personalised case planning and strengths-based coaching to build trust, accountability and real-world change over time.
The programs explore practical themes such as emotional regulation, AOD recovery, relapse prevention, fatherhood, relationships, identity, suicide prevention and community leadership. Facilitators combine lived experience with professional training to create safe, stigma-free spaces where men can heal, grow and reconnect with purpose.
StrongMind’s long-term programs strengthen men, families and communities by embedding healing into everyday life — not removing men from it.

Staff Development Workshop: Working With Men in Cycles of Addiction & Violence
StrongMind’s one-day Staff Development Workshop gives SEWB teams, AOD workers, peer workers, case managers and frontline staff practical tools for working safely and effectively with men caught in cycles of addiction, violence and harmful behaviour.
Delivered face-to-face by facilitators with lived experience and professional insight, the workshop blends grounded frontline knowledge with trauma-informed strategies that staff can apply in real community settings.
Participants explore the deeper drivers behind addiction, anger, shame, emotional shutdown and harmful patterns, while learning how to strengthen engagement, encourage accountability and create safer spaces for men to open up, reflect and take ownership of change.
Through interactive sessions, group discussion and scenario-based learning, staff build confidence in navigating difficult conversations, responding to volatility, supporting behaviour change and maintaining emotional safety for both workers and participants.
Each workshop is tailored to the needs, language and priorities of the host organisation, making it especially valuable for frontline SEWB and AOD teams, peer workers, case managers and professionals supporting men in recovery, crisis, justice, housing, community health or family support settings.
Delivered in partnership with Rolling With The Punches and/or The Rise Foundation, this training is more than professional development — it is a practical, grounded learning experience designed to strengthen teams, services and the communities they support.
